Candace Cameron Bure is ready to be Queen of Christmas again. Since heading over to Great American Family, the actress has worn many hats, including that of Chief Creative Officer, curating content for her like-minded viewers. Already thinking about the holidays, Bure just wrapped filming A Christmas Less Traveled for Great American Family. Here’s what we know about the movie so far.
What is A Christmas Less Traveled about?
The Dine and Dash diner has a stack of mounting unpaid bills and its owner, Desi (Bure) is forced to sell “Old Red,” her beloved, mint condition, cherry red 1964 Ford F-100. The truck, a gift from her deceased father, means the world to her. As she visits the vintage truck one last time, she discovers a recorded message from her dad on an old audio cassette. Desi’s Dad’s voice sends her and Old Red out to retrace her family’s most memorable moments one last time. Just as the journey begins, Desi meets Greyson (Johnson) who offers her a generous payment in exchange for a ride to “close the most important deal” of his life. Little do Desi and Greyson realize the road less traveled will reveal more about each of them than they could have ever known.

Candace Cameron Bure (Desi)
Candace Cameron Bure has starred in multiple holiday movies, both for Hallmark Channel and her new home at Great American Family. Since signing an overall deal with GAF, Bure has taken on the role of chief creative officer for the network, helping to curate content for the upstart channel. Last year, she starred in two holiday movies for Great American Family – A Christmas Hero and A Christmas for the Ages, the latter starring her daughter Natasha Bure.
“A Christmas Less Traveled gently challenges us to truly embrace every moment we share with our families, friends and loved ones. It reminds us that forgiving ourselves and others is the pathway to set ourselves free,” added Executive producer and CandyRock Entertainment CEO Candace Cameron Bure.

Eric Johnson (Grayson)
Johnson is probably best known for his role as a corrupt sheriff on Pretty Little Liars: Original Sin. He also starred on Rookie Blue with a pre-FBI Missy Peregrym. Other credits include Fifty Shades Freed, American Gods, and Orphan Black.
